Oral Roberts University (ORU) started using SketchUp and Prospect in a Facilities Management course to help students build and present their design concepts. We spoke with Stephen Guzman, Project Lead, about what it was like to bring VR into the classroom.

Prospect 1.6 is live! This update contains several visible features that will help our users assess certain details in VR, as well as changes to our product infrastructure. We are also excited to announce that we now support Revit 2018!
Several users have written us asking if Prospect supports the use of room-scale with the Oculus Rift system.
You can render stereoscopic panoramas using a variety of applications such as V-Ray or Lumion, and share these with clients or colleagues using the IrisVR Scope app. Check out a full list of supported panorama formats here.

In honor of National Intern Day 2017, we're putting the spotlight on George Hito, our software engineering intern! George hails from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and attends Dartmouth College.
Update from 2018: George has joined the team full-time!
*Update* as of March 2019: IrisVR free trials are now 14 days long.
We're excited to announce that both Prospect and Scope will include 45-day free trials, up from 21 days previously. This change comes after speaking to our customers and listening to feedback from the community - VR is frontier technology, and 21 days isn't quite enough time to guarantee the hardware is working properly and successfully use IrisVR's software. We hope that this change will give you an opportunity to properly set up your own VR workstation, view your 3D models in VR, present that work to your clients, and test out the pro features that we offer, all while evaluating the product for free. The changes are as follows:
You use SketchUp to build 3D models of interiors, buildings, sets, and so much more. But what if you could step inside your SketchUp designs and review them in 1:1 scale?
Virtual Reality in the Workplace: How to Set Up VR for Every Office Layout
One of the most common questions we get asked is how IrisVR sets up virtual reality for various different office spaces and user requirements.
We’ve tried pretty much every configuration: at our office we have 30 Oculus Quests, 8 Oculus Rift S’s, a Valve Index, and a Pimax 5K Plus - and we’re constantly adding to our collection as new headsets make their way onto the market. Everyone has either a Quest, a Rift S, or both at their desk, and we’re able to easily take both on the road for demos and presentations. We also have a Demo Room set up with a Rift S and an HTC Vive Pro - or whatever headset we’re currently testing.
